The true trout fisherman is like a drug addict; he dwells in a tight little dream world all his own, and the men about him, whom he observes obliviously spending their days pursuing money and power, genuinely puzzle him, as he doubtless does them. And sometimes he fishes not because he regards fishing as being so terribly important but because he suspects that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant.~Robert Traver

Brethren- that's some goooood looking water and some nice sized trout. Dang, you've gotta love having such great water so accessible and doesn't look to be much pressure either. Wonder if the the big release this weekend will change anything? I don't recall that any one has caught many fish there on dead drifted drys. I recall one year we had to figure out the right dropper and then we were killing them....mmmmm, so sad my season is already over- just too short. Gotta get out and try some wild water. May head back to the more northern reaches of the New River in June. Man this is killing me!
Dude, where are the pictures of the "fourpeat" aka the day greater than alaska! The day the trout gods annointed you as the piscator primavera! When their favor not only shown on you at the waters edge with leaping lusty girthful rainbows gladiators galore, but granted you exception to the laws of the land, and even more astounding, the laws of the marraige!
Brother, you may be in the trout gods good graces, but you don't get some rainbo eye candy on this here website and the Gov's going to lay the smack down on you and break out a creel full of voodoo dollie vardens and size 2 barbless hooks! See the trout gods match my backwater, hill billie hockus pockus!
I ever tell yen's about he time I came across a stil whilst scouting a new stream- true story, don't doubt my black magic boys!- hey, that'd be a good name for a fly wouldn't it. See if you can tie us up a few "black magics" for alaska there pablo.
I ate the Mamouth much faster, and downed a shake too...you guys caught way more fish than I did though...so jealous.
Granted, The Rook did down a shake, but we also downed our fries and Cokes.. no fries for the Rook. and the Rook DID eat it faster, way faster. I tip my hat to that boy!
