New Water

Ahh, new water. Hans and I found a nice little piece of a stream, actually a tributary of one we have fished before. This time we rode our bikes up till the road ended, then proceeded up a little path, and we found this welcome sign, inviting us in further to fish.( just love those friendly folk)

We didn't realize it was a trib, until afterword, and the water color and rock moss was quite a bit different from the main stream, but possibly better. Reminded us of a "mini- BS".
This was Friday, and it was so good, we went back Saturday morning, only this time we went up the main branch. Not as good, still caught some fish, and a couple decent ones, but nothing like the little trib. We back pedaled and started again just below the confluence. The idea was to fish up to the confluence, and then up the trib. On the way up to the con, I caught his monster 17 inch brown, largest of the day.
Amazed us that this little jewel of a stream held such nice trout. Suffice it to say, since I'm at such a loss of words, it was a great 2 days, my new fav stream, close to home, un-fished virgin water...no road next to it..what more can you want?
